I loved this Star Wars a lot, kinda tear-jerking moments, and wanting the good force to win (like most people, I believe. Forget the haters, just really enjoyable throughout all the movies. He's been running Disney this whole time. I found Episode 9 to be a great Star Wars film overall. It was fast paced, beautifully done, and provided an excellent ending to the Skywalker Saga.
The first 40 min was a little too rushed for me at first. Some say this was too much and not normal for a Star Wars movie. After watching the Episode 9, I went back and watched Episode 6 to compare this. I found the Episode 6 was getting right into the story, just like Episode 9 did. The feeling of Episode 9 being rushed I do not agree with and was needed.
I absolutely love the story and the coming back of certain characters. It is a Star Wars movie and anything is possible in a a galaxy far far away... I wanted more time with Sidious because I loved the added feel of Sith magic and Sith worshipers. The references to Star Wars lore in the movie was perfect for a mega fan.
My interpretation of the title, The Rise of Skywalker is this: Ben Solo is technically a Skywalker. After being thrown into the pit, he RISES to bring Rey back to life. I believe Rey is a Skywalker now because Ben Solo gives his life to her.
Overall, this is the best in Star Wars in the sequel trilogy and made for the fans and a casual viewer. If more comes out in books, comics, or TV shows on how Sidious returns, then this could be an easy top 3 Star Wars film for me.
